Joe Budden is currently facing a lawsuit, following an incident that happened last year. According to the two neighbors, John and Yuliya Aksoy, Budden tried to enter their place while being naked without their permission. They also went ahead to claim that Budden was masturbating at their door, a claims that the rapper turned podcaster has continuously denied.
According to reports, the judge presiding the case at the time sided with Joe Budden, claiming, “Mr. Budden was not erect. He was not masturbating. The one time that he touched his penis, he appeared to be trying to cover himself. Mr. Budden was not trying to forcibly enter.” Pleased with the outcome, Budden praised the judge’s handling of the case, saying, “She was fair, reasonable, heard all the testimony, was attentive, [and] wasn’t on no bullsh*t.”
At the time of the incident, Budden denied the allegations, claiming he was “sleepwalking.” He explained, “I just slept walked somewhere I shouldn’t have. You know how I sleep — butt-naked. Good, old-fashioned naked sleepwalking. I just did it again,” adding, “Nobody else could go through this stuff but me. It’s always me. So, you just gotta deal with what comes with that. You would’ve never guessed it.”
Apart from the nudity allegations, John and his wife Yuliya also accused Budden of intimidating them and calling them racist, following them alerting the podcaster of the implications of marijuana on their young child. Budden and his team were allegedly ‘excessively’ smoking marijuana at the building’s common area. The couple also claim that following the numerous complaints, Budden was reportedly banned from the area, but returned up a week later. Budden’s lawyer, Nima Ameri, told TMZ the Aksoys’ complaint is just a “money grab attempt by a person we believe to be a racist.”
“This lawsuit is about the right of every family to feel safe and comfortable in their own home. My clients are entitled to seek justice for the repeated violations of their rights, and no amount of public posturing will shield the defendants from accountability in court,” Attorney Thomas, representing John and his wife said in a statement to XXL magazine.
