Kanye West launched a scathing attack against ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her family on social media, claiming they have severely limited his parental rights. The 47-year-old rapper took to X on Saturday with a series of inflammatory posts detailing his frustrations over their co-parenting arrangement.
"I DONT WANT TO JUST 'SEE' MY KIDS. I NEED TO RAISE THEM," West wrote in capital letters, expressing his desire for greater involvement in his children's lives. He likened his current visitation arrangement to "being in prison," suggesting he has minimal say in their upbringing.
The dispute intensified just hours after West released a new song titled "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine," featuring his 11-year-old daughter North alongside incarcerated music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs. According to West, Kardashian attempted to block the song's release through legal means.
Screenshots of text messages between the former couple, briefly posted and then deleted by West, revealed heated exchanges over North's trademark rights. "I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she's 18, it goes to her," Kardashian reportedly texted West.
An insider close to Kardashian told Page Six, "Kim's priority is the well-being and safety of her children and to protect them from being around Kanye's controversial behavior." Sources added that Kardashian specifically opposed connecting North with Combs, who currently faces serious legal troubles including sex trafficking charges.
West's accusations extend beyond his ex-wife to include media companies. "ALL THESE RIGHTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME BY THE KARDASHIAN MOB HULU AND DISNEY," he claimed, suggesting a broader conspiracy against him involving corporate interests.
The former couple, who were married from 2014 to 2022, share four children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. Last November, Kardashian publicly stated she was raising their children "alone" while West reportedly maintained a nomadic lifestyle with his current wife, Bianca Censori.
West's latest outburst has reignited concerns about his mental health and the impact of his public statements on his family. The rapper has previously acknowledged being diagnosed with bipolar disorder but has often rejected treatment.
As this high-profile dispute continues to unfold, questions remain about how it might affect the children caught in the middle of their parents' increasingly public feud. Neither Kardashian, Hulu, nor Disney has publicly responded to West's most recent allegations.
