Kanye West is facing a lawsuit from a former Jewish employee who alleges he engaged in antisemitic harassment and wrongful termination. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that West targeted Jewish staff members at his Yeezy brand with hateful remarks, including praising Adolf Hitler and identifying himself as a Nazi.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, was hired as a marketing specialist at Yeezy in December 2023. Initially successful in her role, she reportedly secured business opportunities for West’s music and fashion brand. However, tensions escalated in January 2024 when she suggested that West issue a statement condemning Nazism due to criticism surrounding the cover art of his album _Vultures Vol. 1_. In response, West allegedly texted her, “I Am A Nazi.”
The lawsuit further alleges that West frequently berated Jewish employees in group chats, including a message reading, “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler.” In another instance, he is accused of criticizing Jewish employees over their salaries before launching into an antisemitic tirade.
Doe claims that West directed multiple offensive messages at her, including “Hail Hitler,” “You ugly as f***,” and “F*** you,Mb****.” She also alleges that he referenced his infamous 2022 tweet about going “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” messaging her, “You what’s left after I said deathcon.”
The lawsuit states that after reporting West’s behavior to her manager, Doe was fired the following day. She claims that West even taunted her, saying, “Now sue me, you corny a** b****.” This lawsuit adds to the growing list of legal battles West faces from former employees. Doe’s attorney, Carney Shegerian, stated, “Ye waged a relentless and deliberate campaign of antisemitism and misogyny against my client. His appalling treatment of women and fixation on Nazism, evident in abusive texts where he repeatedly calls himself Hitler, expose his motives. We need to stop excusing Ye’s behavior.”
West has not publicly responded to the lawsuit. His account on X was recently deactivated after he made similar remarks on the platform. Additionally, his Super Bowl advertisement directed viewers to a website featuring a T-shirt with a swastika design labeled “HH-01.” The lawsuit seeks monetary damages for discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment, and breach of contract.
