Jason Scott, rapper Remy Ma's 23 year old son has reportedly been arrested and detained on Tuesday for the murder of a man in Queens. He has been charged with first degree murder for shooting 47 year old Darius guillebeaux in June 2021. He is also charged with second degree murder, criminal position of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
Scott was arrested alongside 22 year old Richard swygert who conspired to kill guillebeaux. According to authorities, the two opened fire on guillebeaux at 148th Street and rockaway Blvd. in South Jamaica. They shot the victim multiple times in his head and chest as well as grave injuries but he was unable to recover from despite being rushed to the hospital.
Swygert has had multiple charges against him. In August 2021, he was indicated for fatally shooting 22 year old Dominic malivert at a karaoke bar in Queens. According to Melinda Katz, Queens District Attorney, the fight stemmed from an argument about jewelry. In October 2021, Swygert was arraigned in court for the murder of 20-year-old Robert Williams in Kew Gardens outside of the umbrella Hotel. Scott was also arrested last month and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
The rapper and reality star Remy ma served a 6-year-old prison term after being convicted of shooting a friend outside a Manhattan night club in 2007. This is after Remy Ma accused the woman of stealing money from her pocketbook. she was found guilty assault, possession of weapons and attempted coercion charges. Remy Ma and her son Jayson Scott seem to have a great relationship. “My baby forever! My punkin 1st young & thought l knew it all. We basically grew up together,” she wrote in a heartfelt Instagram photo. The rapper is yet to react to the news.
