Kim Kardashian and Kanye West put their differences aside to support their daughter North West during her big moment in _The Lion King_ concert event at the Hollywood Bowl. The former couple, who finalized their divorce in 2022, reunited backstage as North, 11, prepared for her performance, which aired on the Feb. 20 episode of _The Kardashians_. "Her dad has been involved," Kim said in a confessional. "Kanye and I want the best for the kids, so any time we’re here supporting our child, it’s always good vibes."
North took the stage to sing _I Just Can't Wait to Be King_, with Kim admitting she nearly had a "heart attack" from nerves. Kanye, known for his creative input, even had a say in the production. "He's like, ‘Can we change the graphics to _The Lion King_?'" Kim revealed, adding that she agreed, believing his idea would create "a better production."
Before the performance, North stood between her parents, holding both their hands as they joined in a prayer circle. After the show, the proud parents shared their excitement. "Man, she did so good," Kanye told Kim backstage. She responded, "I was just crying from the side. Kim and Kanye, who also share children Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, have had a complex co-parenting relationship since their split. While Kim has previously opened up about the challenges of their dynamic, she has maintained that their children's well-being remains a top priority.
In a past season of _The Kardashians_, Kim addressed Kanye’s public remarks about her, stating, "Even through all of the craziness of everything that Kanye says about us, I never comment, I never post. We stay silent through all the lies." She added, "I have to sit here and not say anything, ever, because I know one day my kids will appreciate that." Kim summed up the moment by saying, "It's such a proud moment as a mom to see your child have so much fun and not be nervous at all."
