Rapper Jay Z has fired back and filed a lawsuit against Tony Buzbee who had previously accused the rapper and Sean Diddy Combs of raping a 13 year old girl. According to court documents, Jay Z lawsuit states, “ I felt that Mr. Buzbee was placing a gun to my head that I either had to bow to his demands or endure personal and financial ruin.”

Jay Z also believes that Buzbee filed the complaint against him on the eve of Blue Ivy’s “Mufasa: The lion king” movie premiere “ to put me in the position of having to choose between supporting my daughter or hiding to avoid negative press.” The rapper claims he was harshly criticized by others for accompanying Blue Ivy to the premiere of her movie.

Jay Z also stated that social media comments online responding to Buzbee’s public statement about his have caused him great harm. He stated examples such as “I can’t wait till you join (Combs) in prison. Then later in hell,” “He needs to be in jail…” “Jay Z needs to be locked up,” “Jay Z about to go down,” “ Lock Jay Z up!” The rapper claims that other comments have accused him of being a “Satanist, a trafficker, a terrorist, a monster” while other social media users threatened to kill him and his wife and children.

“ It was incredibly painful for my wife and me to sit down with our children, one of whom is at an age where her friends would surely see the press and ask questions about this claims, and explain this. I mourn this loss of innocence for my children, including one who is among the age that the female minor claims to have been when she falsely claims these heinous acts happened. I am heartbroken that my children have to endure hearing these things about their father, especially at their young age,” the suit reads.

Jay Z also claims that due to Buzbee’s public statement, his company, Roc Nation has lost contracts in the space and entertainment space that would have generated revenue off approximately $20 million per year. He expressed his concern for his career and the impact of such allegations, stating that “false allegations” can be career ending.

The suit against Jay Z was voluntary dismissed on Friday, Feb. 14, by Buzbee and fellow attorney Antigone Curis, who wrote in court documents that the Jane Doe who accused the two rappers of sexual assault “hereby gives notice that the above- captioned Action is voluntarily dismissed, with prejudice.” The suit cannot be refiled.
