Olivia Davis faced backlash after her sentiments on the podcast 3 girls 1 kitchen went viral. Davis, who is allegedly Craig’s ex, was seen in a viral clip struggling to pronounce Megan Thee Stallion’s name, an act that fans considered strange. In the viral clip, Olivia Davis and Lana Rhoades discuss Craig’s type, claiming he only dated and talked to girls who look like them. Social media users assumed they were referring to Megan’s skin color, claims that Lana Rhoades denied.

During an interview with TMZ, Davis apologizes to Megan Thee Stallion and claims she is not racist following social media backlash. “I’ve never been called a racist in my entire life,” Davis began. “So, it’s just like a little bit of a shock to me. I’ve just been staying silent right now, just because of the disaster that’s been happening. I just feel it’s a little insensitive for people to be attacking. I obviously understand if they’re offended and I deeply apologize for that.”

“I know her name, obviously. It was just a stupid dumb blonde moment in the moment during our podcast. And I actually do have an issue with pronouncing vowels sometimes. And I’m not gonna play the victim or use this as an excuse because I am foreign. I didn’t even speak English when I came here,” Davis said, in regards to her mispronouncing Megan’s name.

Davis went ahead to say that it was an honest mistake and she is a fan of Megan’s work. She also clarified that she wasn’t surprised about him dating Megan because she’s Black, but because she’s such a huge star. Davis insisted that she knows who Megan is and that her mispronunciation wasn’t malicious but a nervous mistake.
