Rapper Sexyy Red was involved in a significant altercation at Newark Liberty InternationalVAirport on June 8, leading to her arrest. The brawl, involving Sexyy Red and her entourage, was reportedly sparked by someone taking an unauthorized photo of the rapper. TMZ released surveillance footage showing Sexyy Red brandishing a stanchion during the fight, though she did not appear to hit anyone with it. Instead, she was pushed to the ground and walked away after regaining her footing.

Security intervened, and authorities arrested multiple participants, including Sexyy Red, on charges of disorderly conduct. Others involved faced assault charges, and those injured received medical treatment for minor injuries. Following the incident, Sexyy Red seemed to be in good spirits, posting a video on social media saying, Good morning! I’ve just got out," and offering to replace a phone damaged in the brawl. The people that was in that altercation at the airport…Please dm me so I can replace yo phone!!” she wrote

However, Sexyy Red disputed reports of her involvement. She took to Instagram and X to deny her participation, stating, Dat wasn’t DF me! This denial was despite the clear footage of a woman in a red bonnet.

The brawl's exact cause remains unclear, but it is speculated to have started over the unauthorized photo. Witnesses saw Sexyy Red appearing to defend her entourage with the stanchion, only to be stopped and eventually fall to the ground. The scene escalated quickly, and another man was seen punching the individual who had pushed her.

In the aftermath, Sexyy Red continued to interact with fans on social media, humorously commenting on the incident and denying her involvement. Despite her denial, the footage and her subsequent arrest keep the situation ambiguous.
