Jennifer Hudson, the acclaimed singer and talk show host, has shared her joy about her relationship with rapper Common. The couple, who confirmed their romance earlier this year, are reportedly going strong. Hudson, 42, revealed to People at the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards that she feels "wonderful" in her relationship. "Everything is wonderful," she gushed. "That's all you need to know."

The pair initially sparked romance rumors back in 2022 after a decade-long friendship. They officially confirmed their relationship to the public in January when Common appeared on *The Jennifer Hudson Show*. During his appearance, the rapper presented Hudson with a bouquet of flowers, and the two candidly discussed their love lives. "I'm in a relationship with one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life," Common said on the show. "She's smart, she loves God, she has something real down-to-earth about her, she's talented." He also playfully noted that he would prefer his partner to be an EGOT winner, a milestone Hudson has already achieved.

The 52-year-old rapper later reflected on their relationship during an interview on *Today with Hoda & Jenna*. He described their dynamic as private yet fulfilling, sharing that they had a great time during the talk show episode. "I felt like, why not just be loving and honest with who I am and who we are," Common explained. "And it felt good, it was fun, we had a good time."

Hudson and Common's relationship timeline includes various public appearances and sweet moments. The two were first seen together in their hometown of Chicago after filming their 2022 film *Breathe*. Their outings included holding hands in New York City, enjoying a date night to *MJ: The Musical* in Chicago, and sitting courtside at Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers games in January. Their chemistry and connection were evident, further fueling speculation about their relationship status.

Common, known for his three Grammy Awards and his activism, shared that he has grown significantly and feels more capable of embracing a committed relationship. "I've grown a lot and the work I've done on myself has allowed me to see myself as a marrying type," he said in a January interview. "I am the type that, I'm capable and I have the capacity, and if at some point in my life I may want to do that, I would know when the right time is."

For Hudson, the relationship represents a happy and stable phase in her life. "This relationship is a happy place for me," Common said during their talk show appearance. "Seeing her happy actually makes me really happy. So, I'm very grateful. I thank God each and every day, and I'm just letting God guide this relationship."
