Rihanna is making a fashion statement while seemingly sending a subtle message! On Thursday, June 6, the "Lift Me Up" singer, 36, was spotted strolling through New York with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. The Barbadian star, who has been teasing fans with the promise of new music for quite some time, sported an eye-catching outfit.

Her blue, short-sleeved T-shirt boldly declared, "I'm retired," in large white text, followed by the smaller red text, "This is as dressed up as I get." She complemented the shirt with a darker blue maxi skirt and red sneakers, accessorizing with a lime green purse.

Rocky, 35, opted for a tan and brown argyle sweater paired with light denim jeans. The couple, who are parents to sons RZA, 2, and Riot, have both hinted at Rihanna's musical future as recently as this year. Her last album, "Anti," was released in 2016.

In February, a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) captured the "F**kin' Problems" rapper in Paris, where he took photos with fans. When asked about the highly anticipated R9 album, he replied with a smile, "She's working on it."

In mid-April, during a chat with Entertainment Tonight to promote her Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty Earth Tone sneakers, the "Work" singer shared an update on her music. She assured fans that the wait would be worth it, describing her new tracks as "so good."

The discussion began when ET asked if Rihanna and Rocky's sons might follow their musical footsteps. "I mean, it's up to them," she said. Rihanna also revealed she has a few tracks that she believes could be hit songs. "I already got stuff that I feel like I can make hits out of," she said. "Really." She noted that the choice often comes down to whether she uses the song or if it goes to Rocky.

Meanwhile, the "Umbrella" hitmaker is expanding her empire. Earlier this week, she announced the launch of her new haircare line. "A new family is moving in!" she captioned the reveal. "@fentyhair is pullin up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for."

"You know how much switching my hair up matters to me," Rihanna added. "I’ve had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural — so I am launching a flexible line of products for not only every hair want, but every single product is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair, which is what we truly need! It’s time to play and get stronger by the style ." Fenty Hair will be available on Thursday, June 13, at FentyHair.com.
