Jennifer Lopez recently revealed that she is "thinner" than ever after intensive workouts for her upcoming project, "Kiss Of The Spider Woman." The star has been flaunting her toned physique while promoting her sci-fi thriller "Atlas," donning skimpy outfits that highlight herfigure in Los Angeles and Mexico.
On Tuesday, her trainers, Dodd Romero and Tracy Anderson, spoke to UsWeekly about how the 54-year-old Bronx native maintains her incredible shape. The "This Is Me... Now" singer reportedly weighs around 120 pounds at 5ft 3in. "Jennifer's in better shape now than she's ever been," Romero told UsWeekly. "She's tough and never complains. Wherever I tell her to go, she'll go."
Romero shared that Lopez works out three days a week and frequentlyvaries her routines to keep them interesting. She incorporates resistance training, which includes three sets of hanging ab raises, rope crunches, and weighted sumo-style plié squats.
Lopez, who is reportedly experiencing marital issues with husband Ben Affleck, also works with Tracy Anderson at her gym in LA. Anderson told UsWeekly that Lopez uses dance aerobics with Anderson's band system, focusing on leg pulses and box step-ups with 1.5-pound ankle weights. "We do a 10-move leg program focusing on the glutes and the cinching of the waist," Anderson explained. "Moving is part of Jennifer's core values. She does what she needs to do."
Lopez is also meticulous about her diet. "As you get older, you have to be more strict," Romero noted. She avoids sugar and dairy but allows herself occasional treats. "If her kids want a meal that's not the lowest in calories, Jennifer will have the meal with them. She's not rigid," he added.
In 2019, Romero mentioned that Lopez, who abstains from alcohol and caffeine, drinks at least seven glasses of water a day and avoids processed foods, preferring whole food sources for her nutrients.
Lopez is set to kick off her "This Is Me… Live" tour in July, her first tour in five years. This announcement follows her solo appearance at the "Atlas" premiere in Mexico, where she was seen without Affleck. At the Los Angeles premiere, she told Entertainment Tonight that she finds comfort in her family. "The one thing you can always trust in is family," she shared. Her comments come amid rumors of significant problems in her personal life.
