The music industry is rocked by disturbing allegations as singer-songwriter Chanaaz Mangroe accuses record producer The-Dream (Terius Gesteelde-Diamant) of sex trafficking, rape, and sexual battery.

Mangroe, a singer from the Netherlands, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday claiming The-Dream used his influence to exploit her. According to the complaint, he allegedly lured her into a manipulative relationship upon her arrival in the US on a work visa.

The lawsuit details horrific experiences, including forced sexual encounters, physical violence, and psychological abuse. One particularly disturbing allegation details a rape in a van after a forced sexual encounter at a movie theater.

Mangroe seeks unspecified damages and a jury trial. The-Dream vehemently denies the accusations through his representative, calling them "untrue and defamatory." He maintains a record of helping artists achieve their dreams and finds these claims deeply upsetting.

However, Mangroe states speaking out is crucial for her healing and hopes it empowers others to come forward. She details how The-Dream allegedly controlled her life, exploiting her vulnerable position as a visa holder. The lawsuit further alleges multiple acts of sexual violence, forced alcohol consumption, and filming of these encounters.

Mangroe's attorneys, known for representing Cassie Ventura in a similar case against Sean "Diddy" Combs, emphasize the prevalence of abuse in the music industry. They commend Mangroe's bravery in speaking out, highlighting the strength it takes to confront such powerful figures.

The-Dream, a Grammy winner behind hits like "Umbrella" and "Single Ladies," has a decorated career. These allegations cast a dark shadow over his accomplishments, leaving the music world to grapple with the truth.
