Kathie Lee Gifford holds a strong conviction that forgiveness is owed to all. Actually, the former daytime TV host revealed how her long-running conflict with Howard Stern ended, saying that after they first met in 2012, it was the radio host who actually contacted her to beg for forgiveness.
I can't even use the language that he used; it was a lot of F-words, but he was basically saying,I can't believe how nice you were to me, she said in a May 28 interview with Fox News. He left a voicemail,she said. You were so kind, and I've been so rude to you. I just have to say I'm sorry to you.
After being taken aback by the relocation, Kathie Lee remembered informing her family, "Well, pigs have now officially flown. When Kathie Lee was asked to sing the national anthem at Super Bowl XXIX in 1995, the two got into a fight. However, Kathie Lee heard jeers as she was singing,
and she later learned that Howard had invited his fans to jeer her when she appeared on stage.
Even though Kathie Lee, now 70, hasn't watched his show in years, she claims that Howard, also 70, hasn't stopped disparaging her and her family even though they've never met. In 2012, Kathie Lee visited shock jock Howard at Today and offered an olive branch to him. She told Fox News that the Lord instructed her to say hello to
Howard and wish him luck as the new judge of America's Got Talent. Howard called Kathie Lee later that day and left her an apologetic voicemail. When they finally connected on the phone, they ended their feud. Kathie Lee said she was happy for Howard's forgiveness and that she had forgiven him 30 years ago.
Howard was surprised by her confession, but Kathie Lee explained that she had forgiven him 30 years ago and had been praying for him every day since. Since then, Howard and Kathie Lee have maintained a cordial relationship, and Kathie Lee joked that she can get along with a rock. E! News has reached out to Howard for comment but has not received a response.
