Nick Pasqual, known for his roles in "Rebel Moon" and "How I Met Your Mother," has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including the attempted murder of his estranged girlfriend. The 34-year-old actor faces severe legal consequences following the alleged incident on May 23, which took place at his ex-girlfriend's home in the Sunland neighborhood of Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Pasqual has been charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent. This serious altercation occurred after Pasqual reportedly broke into his estranged girlfriend's residence, violating arestraining order she had filed against him.
The district attorney's office has not disclosed the identity of the victim, but sources have identified her as a 35-year-old Hollywood makeup artist. A GoFundMe page has been set up and verified to support her medical expenses, with organizers describing her as a "remarkable person, full of warmth, kindness, and love."
District Attorney George Gascón expressed his sympathy for the victim, stating, "My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the victim in this horrific incident. Our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, extends our support and resources to her as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from both the physical andemotional trauma inflicted upon her. This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”
Pasqual allegedly fled the scene but was later apprehended at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas. He is expected to be extradited to Los Angeles County to face the charges. If convicted, he could receive a maximum sentence of life in state prison.
The gravity of this case highlights the ongoing issue of domestic violence and the importance of legal and social support systems for victims.
