Palmer and Jackson met back in May 2021 at an Insecure after-party hosted by Diddy. The pair announced their relationship on Instagram onAugust, the same year. The nope stare shared a kissing photo and other photos from her 28 th birthday. On October 2, 2021, they were later spotted at the Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic in Los Angeles.
“This is the happiest I’ve felt with someone. So why would I go out of my way to hide this person? That’s a lot more work than just living in my life and being in my life. You know what I’m saying,” she said during her interview with Bustle. When hosting the Saturday Night Live (SNL), Palmer revealed that she’s pregnant during her SNL monologue and showed off her baby bump.
Despite the public romance, there was trouble behind the scenes. Keke Palmer signed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Darius, accusing him of trespassing into her home without her knowledge, threatening and physically attacking her, claiming that he lunges at her and grabbed at her neck and face. Palmer’s court documents included screenshots of Surveillance footage showing Darius being physically aggressive with Palmer. This came after Darius publicly shamed Keke for her choice of outfit when she attended Usher’s concert and had the infamous dance that made social media users to react differently, some defending her and some criticizing her.
As of now, Palmer and Jackson have paused their domestic abuse lawsuit to attend mediation. The court had ordered them to hash it out in a mediation session. This is after Palmer accused Darius of hitting their child when he cried, threatened to shoot himself if she tried to leave, trashed her personal belongings and involuntarily trapped her. The two have agreed to resume the temporary restraining order when necessary and the court has yanked the July 16 th , 2024 hearing which was set for 8:30 AM.
