Serena Williams is coaching the future tennis champion. The 23-time Grand Slam champion offered a rare glimpse of her 2-year-old daughter Adira during a practice session on a tennis court with husband Alexis Ohanian.
In photos posted on Instagram on Nov. 24, Serena hit a ball to the toddler, who grasped her own racket and swung. In an instant, Adira was beside her mom as the former athlete guided her daughter through the actions.
Serena—who is also the mother of daughter Olympia, 8, with the Reddit founder—honored the heartfelt moment by captioning, “This is me sharing my love for tennis with my youngest daughter.”
Along with introducing her favorite sport, tennis, to Adira, Serena—who co-owns the Los Angeles Golf Club with Alexis—is also getting her started in golf, as evidenced by an August Instagram post featuring the 2-year-old swinging a golf club on their home putting green.
However, her passion for sports isn't the only side venture the Wyn Beauty founder, 44, has involved her daughters in. Serena actually enlisted Olympia and Adira’s assistance for a special fashion collection with the children’s brand Janie and Jack earlier this year, even mentioning that her eldest contributed to the design of some items.
“Olympia has been choosing her own clothes since she was young, so naturally, she has thoughts,” Serena shared with Parents Magazine in March. “She actively participated in selecting colors and patterns, and fortunately, we shared the same preferences for our favorites.”
Aside from their enjoyable collaborations, Serena's primary goal is to nurture her daughters into the best versions of themselves.
