Sofia Richie is pulling out her maternity attire once more. The model announced that she is expecting her second child with husband Elliot Grainge on the same day that her SRG fashion line was launched.
"On my way to launch these babies," Sofia wrote on Instagram on October 16 alongside a mirror selfie of herself sporting one of SRG's jackets and flaunting her expanding baby bump.
Although Sofia's pregnancy announcement was much more casual than her first attempt—she appeared on the cover of Vogue in January 2024—the concurrent launch with her clothing line is appropriate because her experience as a mother to her and Elliot's 16-month-old daughter, Eloise, served as the inspiration for the fashion line.
“I walked through all the different stages of my life,” she told W magazine in an interview published Oct. 16. “Being at home with my daughter, going out with girlfriends, working.”
The new brand is "like one of my babies," the 27-year-old, who is the sister of Nicole Richie and the daughter of Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Diane Alexander, said.
"I wanted to make a range that can go from a business meeting to a fun night out to being really casual [and] at home," she added. "I simply placed myself in those circumstances and made an effort to produce works that I felt were most appropriate for that setting."
However, since becoming a mother last year, she has celebrated numerous significant milestones, including the launch of her clothing line. In May, in celebration of Eloise's first birthday, Sofia opened up about all the changes she had gone through.
"I was unaware that her first birthday would be such a mix of emotion for me,” she captioned her Instagram post at the time. “On one hand, it’s the most amazing, beautiful milestone. On the other hand, I look back and realize those tiny little moments are something I’ll never get back.”
She added, “Watching her grow has been a gift.”
And while Sofia is clearly excited for her fashion line, she knows where her priorities lie.
“My greatest achievement will ALWAYS be her,” she concluded. “Elliot and I couldn’t love anything in this life more. I don’t know what I did to deserve my little buggie, but all I know is my heaven is right here on earth with her.”
Hours before his wife's pregnancy was made public, Elliot made a rare Instagram comment praising her, demonstrating his feelings for their expanding family.
"I rarely post on Instagram because I frequently forget I have it. However, things are different now," the CEO of Atlantic Music Group wrote on October 16. It's the debut of SRG Atelier, my amazing wife Sofia's fashion label. I am so proud of you, Sof, because I have seen you put your all into every detail with your incredible team. I love you, and you inspire me every day."
"Wait, Elliot, I love you so much!" she answered. My life revolves around you.
