Sean "Diddy" Combs is allegedly receiving some unusual perks behind bars, with fellow inmates reportedly cooking his meals, doing his laundry and even giving him massages at Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey.
According to an NBC News report based on interviews with four men who spent time in the same prison unit as Combs, the 56-year-old music mogul has allegedly managed to maintain a surprisingly comfortable lifestyle while serving his sentence.
Sources claim inmates make his bed, clean his bathroom and prepare special meals including curry chicken, pizza and empanadas. One inmate also allegedly gives Combs Chinese-style massages.
"This is not some normal s--- you see in jail. This is some rich s---," one source told NBC News. "It looks crazy, but again, it's Diddy."
The report also cites photos and videos obtained by NBC News that appear to show Combs using a contraband cellphone. Multiple sources claimed he has used such phones to access Instagram and view nude and sexually explicit photos allegedly sent by a former girlfriend.
Combs is also accused of getting alcohol inside the facility. Sources said premium liquor was allegedly smuggled into the prison by guards and shared among a small group of inmates. One man recalled drinking Hennessy with Combs, saying, "Hell yeah, I drank with him."
The alleged perks reportedly come at a price. Sources claimed Combs has spent thousands of dollars each month, with money from people outside the prison being deposited into other inmates' commissary accounts in exchange for services.
One source said inmates would even clean the toilet and shower areas before Combs used them, while others prepared food for him. He allegedly also has inmates hold onto his phone and large amounts of fan mail.
The Bureau of Prisons declined to discuss Combs' specific conditions, citing "privacy, safety and security reasons," but acknowledged that contraband, including cellphones, narcotics and weapons, remains an ongoing challenge in federal prisons.
Combs' representative rejected the significance of the report, saying, "The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs's life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news. The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence while awaiting the court's decision on his appeal."
Combs is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He remains at Fort Dix while his appeal is pending.
