Keke Palmer has opened up about her bond with Hot Ones host Sean Evans, after the two were spotted sharing dinner at a Brooklyn Italian restaurant. The sighting quickly fueled speculation, but Palmer kept her response playful when asked about it during Spotify's Conversations That Channel Culture panel at Cannes Lions on June 23.
"We hangin out, you know what I mean?" she said, before adding, "First of all, I love Sean Evans. I love Sean, hey Sean. That's my guy. You never know what can arise from there. We just take it day by day. One wing at a time so to speak."
Their chemistry dates back to 2017, when Palmer first appeared on Hot Ones. Fans immediately picked up on the spark, and the pair have since reunited on each other's shows.
Evans joined Palmer's podcast Baby, This is Keke Palmer in May, where she jokingly introduced him as a "potential future suitor." During the episode, Evans praised her as "obviously very charismatic... you're smart, you're beautiful."
Evans has been candid about his admiration. In a 2023 appearance on Chicken Shop Date, he admitted, "Keke Palmer. Very charming. Very charming woman." Palmer later laughed about hearing that, saying she "knew the vibes were vibing."
Their playful energy has led to memorable moments. When Palmer returned to Hot Ones in 2025, she teased Evans by asking if they could "have a quick smooch to see if there's a spark." The two shared a cheeky kiss, which Evans later joked would be a snapshot he'd never forget.
For now, Palmer insists they're simply enjoying each other's company.
