Actress and model Daphne Joy has broken her silence after an explicit video allegedly featuring her, jailed music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, and adult film performer Sly Diggler surfaced online over the weekend. In a raw, emotionally charged statement posted and subsequently deleted from her social media accounts on June 1, 2026, Joy forcefully condemned the footage as unconsented “revenge porn” and revealed she had been the victim of a targeted blackmail scheme.
The 54-second video rapidly spread across various social platforms, prompting immediate public speculation and a highly publicized online reaction from rapper 50 Cent, with whom Joy shares a young son. As internet commentary intensified, Joy chose to confront the narrative directly, stating unequivocally that the tape was never intended for public consumption and was recorded entirely without her knowledge or consent.
According to Joy’s statement, the resurfacing of the footage follows a stressful extortion plot. She alleged that an individual featured in the video had previously blackmailed her, threatening a public leak unless she paid a massive lump sum of money. While Joy admitted she initially considered complying out of fear, she ultimately refused the demands. The extortionist subsequently sold the recording to a major digital media outlet. Joy recounted that when the company reached out to her legal representatives for comment prior to publication, the shock caused her to faint. However, once the outlet realized the tape was bound to a criminal extortion plot, they declined to air it.
Joy also reflected deeply on the psychological toll of the situation, describing the agonizing experience of rewatching the footage to assess the leak. “It was triggering and painful,” Joy wrote, adding that looking back at that period in her life forced her to relive past trauma. She confessed that, at the time the video was recorded, she had compromised her own personal boundaries in an attempt to keep her partner happy, recognizing now that the dynamic was far from loving.
While Combs remains incarcerated at a federal facility following his 2025 conviction, the leak has reignited intense scrutiny surrounding his past actions. Representatives for Combs have not issued a statement regarding the tape. Meanwhile, Joy emphasized that her current focus is entirely on her personal healing, stating that she is dedicated to learning how to love, protect, and trust herself again.
