Tom Brady stepped onto the stage at Kevin Hart’s live Netflix roast Sunday and wasted no time firing back at the comedian with a sharp joke tied to Hart’s past cheating scandal in Las Vegas.

“Alright this won’t take long because I’m a busy man,” Brady told the crowd. “But I do have a few things to say before I get back to my affairs in Las Vegas. Oh wait are we not supposed to mention affairs in Vegas? I think I broke another rule. Forget it. I said it.”

The line referenced Hart admitting in 2017 that he cheated on his wife,Eniko Hart, while she was pregnant. The comedian later publicly apologized after the story exploded online.

Brady’s appearance instantly shifted the energy inside the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, especially because Hart had spent several minutes mocking the retired quarterback before Brady walked out.

“I’m telling you now this roast will be better than Brady’s,” Hart shouted earlier in the night. “Tom sat there looking confused the whole time. I’m not doing that. Say whatever you want.”

Moments later Brady answered with an even harsher jab.

“Do you ever stop talking?” he asked Hart. “Have you been standing here with that microphone for two straight years waiting for somebody to notice you? Unlike your real dad, I actually showed up.”

The exchange quickly became one of the most talked about moments from the event, with fans online debating whether Brady crossed the line or simply returned the same energy Hart brought to the quarterback’s Netflix roast in 2024.

The roast also featured appearances from comedians and celebrities including Pete Davidson, Tiffany Haddish, Chelsea Handler and Draymond Green. The event, filmed for Netflix at the packed arena, featured several celebrities taking turns mocking Hart throughout the night, but Brady’s surprise appearance generated the loudest reaction from the audience.

Social media immediately exploded with clips from the exchange, with many viewers calling Brady ruthless for bringing up Hart’s old controversy onstage. Others defended the former NFL star, arguing Hart invited the response after relentlessly attacking Brady during roast appearances.
