Lizzo marked her 38th birthday with a night out in Los Angeles, celebrating alongside her boyfriend Myke Wright at the well known Chateau Marmont.

The Grammy winning artist stepped out on Monday, April 27, wearing a black dress with sheer side panels, paired with black heels and sunglasses. She completed the look with a brown fur shawl draped over her shoulders. Lizzo was seen holding hands with Wright as they arrived at the iconic hotel, offering a glimpse into their relationship during the special occasion.

The couple first went public with their romance in April 2022, although they had been linked months earlier. Their connection dates back to 2016 when they met while cohosting the MTV music series Wonderland. What began as a friendship eventually developed into a romantic relationship.

Lizzo has previously spoken about how their bond grew over time. In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she reflected on her
perspective on love and personal growth. She explained that before entering a relationship, she focused on building a sense of completeness within herself. According to Lizzo, she believes that when a person is secure in who they are, they naturally attract the right partner.

She shared that she was going through a challenging period in her life when she met Wright, but their friendship provided a strong foundation. Over time, that friendship evolved into something deeper. Lizzo said she appreciates relationships that grow out of genuine connection, noting that friendships allow people to be themselves without pressure.

The singer also celebrated her birthday week by announcing her upcoming album titled _Bitch_, which is set to be released on June 5. She described the title as a way of reclaiming a word that has often been used negatively, turning it into a symbol of confidence and self love.

Lizzo explained that many women in music have used the term in empowering ways, and she wanted to continue that tradition. She added that the word has become one of her favorites when used on her own terms.

The album’s title track, which draws inspiration from Meredith Brooks’ song “Bitch,” is scheduled for release on May 1. As she celebrates another year, Lizzo continues to balance her personal life with major milestones in her music career.
