In a dramatic escalation of the fractured relationship between Shalana Hunter, known publicly as Tokyo Toni, and her daughter Angela White (Blac Chyna), federal authorities eportedly paid a visit to Hunter’s residence this week. The investigation follows a series of disturbing social media livestreams in which Hunter made thinly veiled threats against White’s life, specifically utilizing a grim reference to the late soul singer Marvin Gaye.

The controversy ignited when Hunter took to Instagram Live to vent her frustrations regarding ongoing legal and personal disputes with her daughter. During the broadcast, Hunter reportedly stated she was prepared to “Marvin Gaye” the reality star, a reference to the 1984 tragedy where the legendary singer was shot and killed by his own father. The comment immediately went viral, sparking widespread concern among fans and prompting multiple reports to law enforcement regarding the potential for domestic violence.

Sources close to the situation indicate that FBI agents, acting on a tip regarding interstate threats, arrived at Hunter’s home to conduct a “wellness check” and assess the credibility of the statements. While no arrests were made at the scene, the visit serves as a significant warning to the social media personality, whose digital outbursts have frequently landed her in legal trouble.

This is not the first time Hunter’s rhetoric has drawn the attention of the authorities. In 2022, she was permanently barred from a Los Angeles courtroom during her daughter’s
$100 million defamation trial against the Kardashian-Jenner family after she posted a video threatening the presiding judge. However, the move to involve federal investigators marks a shift in how law enforcement is handling her increasingly volatile public persona.

For Angela White, who has undergone a highly publicized “healing journey” over the past two years by dissolving her cosmetic fillers and reconnecting with her Christian faith, the threats represent a painful setback in her attempts to distance herself from her mother’s erratic behavior. In a brief statement addressed to her followers, White emphasized her commitment to safety and boundaries, though she did not mention her mother by name.

As of today, Tokyo Toni has remained defiant on social media, claiming that her “Marvin Gaye” comment was a metaphor rather than a literal threat. Nevertheless, legal experts suggest that the federal visit indicates the FBI is taking the matter seriously, as threats of violence communicated across state lines via the internet fall under federal jurisdiction.
