Hip-hop superstar Drake has solidified his position as a dominant force in music streaming, officially being named the Most-Streamed Artist of 2025 globally by Apple Music. The announcement came on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, with the launch of the platform’s annual “Apple Music Replay” year-end features, confirming the Canadian artist’s enduring popularity despite a tumultuous year marked by high-profile feuds.

This title reinforces Drake’s status as a streaming powerhouse. Although Apple Music did not disclose specific streaming totals, his catalog’s immense draw ensured his overall win. The success was significantly boosted by his collaborative album with frequent partner PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which was released in February. The project not only debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 but also broke the record for the most first-day streams on Apple Music for an R&B/Soul album.

Key singles from that project, including “Nokia” and “Gimme a Hug,” made waves on the charts, with “Nokia” notably ranking as the 13th most-streamed song on the platform for the year. Additionally, Drake’s consistent output of non-album singles, such as “What Did I Miss?” and the Central Cee-assisted “Which One,” kept him in heavy rotation ahead of his forthcoming solo album, Iceman.

While Drake claimed the overall artist crown, the Top Songs of 2025 global playlist demonstrated fierce competition. The most-streamed song of the year was claimed by Rosé and Bruno Mars’ hit, “APT.,” followed by Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s collaboration, “Luther,” which was the most-streamed R&B/Hip-Hop track.

Despite facing heavy competition and navigating a highly publicized lyrical battle in the previous year, Drake’s victory as the most-streamed artist proves that his deep catalog and steady release schedule continue to drive massive listener engagement, reaffirming his commercial supremacy in the digital music era.
