There has been an update to Stefon Diggs' paternity suit. The NFL star, who is presently pregnant with Cardi B, is the father of model Aileen Lopera's 7-month-old kid, according to her lawyer, Tamar G. Arminak.
"We can confirm that Mr. Diggs is the father," Arminak told People on November 6. "And we are hopeful that he will meaningfully contribute to the child's life and coparent with our client, who has had to do everything on her own thus far."
Lopera, also known as Lord Gisselle on social media, originally filed paperwork against Diggs while she was still pregnant in December 2024 to "determine a parental relationship of their unborn baby," according to documents obtained by People in September.
According to the document, the model has demanded sole physical and legal custody of the baby girl, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, as well as visitation rights for Diggs.
According to People, Diggs, who is already the father of Nova, 8, from a previous relationship, initially questioned the baby's paternity and demanded genetic tests to determine whether he was her biological father. According to the documents obtained by the publication, the 31-year-old also demanded joint legal and physical custody, as well as joint payment of "reasonable expenses" associated with the pregnancy, birth, and attorney's fees if the test came back positive.
After news of the paternity suit became public, Cardi responded via an Instagram Live video, invoking Shirley Brown's 1974 song "Woman to Woman," in which a woman reaches out to her partner’s mistress.
“That’s your baby daddy, bitch?" she asked during the September stream, per Page Six. “That’s my baby daddy, too.”
The “WAP” singer added, “What now? I don’t fucking know. We’ll figure it out, bitch."
Cardi B and her partner, Stefon Diggs, are currently focused on her pregnancy and their growing family, with Stefon recently announcing the gender of their upcoming child in a November 4 interview, revealing, "It’s a boy." He expressed excitement about bonding with his son, humorously mentioning plans to engage him in physical activities like push-ups and running.
In addition to her pregnancy, Cardi is also preparing for her Little Miss Drama World Tour, which is set to begin in February next year. Despite her busy schedule, she maintains a strong and empowering outlook, stating, "I feel very strong... but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby." Cardi appreciates Stefon's support, noting that he makes her feel "safe and very confident," allowing her to take on her many responsibilities with enthusiasm.
