Memphis rapper Finesse2Tymes, whose real name is Ricky Hampton, was arrested in Texas on Monday, October 20, 2025, after being booked in Harris County on multiple charges. The charges include possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug, tampering or fabricating physical evidence and introducing a prohibited substance into a correctional facility.

Law enforcement confirmed that Hampton was taken into custody by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office following an incident earlier in the day. He was processed and had his mugshot taken, but by Tuesday he was reportedly no longer being held at the jail.

One of the most serious allegations involves the tampering or fabrication of evidence, a felony charge indicating that authorities believe Hampton attempted to conceal or destroy material related to the case. This charge often carries heavier penalties than standard possession charges, depending on the circumstances.

The drug-related charges also paint a troubling picture. In addition to marijuana, officials allege that Hampton was in possession of other controlled and dangerous substances. He also faces an accusation of bringing a prohibited substance into a correctional facility, suggesting that the drugs were found during or after his intake.

This arrest follows a recent run-in with the law. In September 2025, Hampton was arrested in Smith County, Texas, during a traffic stop in which officers reportedly discovered a blunt, Oxycodone pills and methylphenidate pills in his vehicle. He was released on bond after that incident.

Hampton and his legal team have not issued an official statement on the most recent arrest and it remains unclear how they plan to address the charges. Court records indicate that he faces several counts that, if proven, could result in significant legal consequences, including potential jail time and fines.

Finesse2Tymes gained national attention for his music and collaborations but has also faced legal battles throughout his career. Fans have taken to social media to express concern and frustration over his continued run-ins with the law.

No official court date has been announced yet for Hampton’s arraignment, but the tampering charge could make this case more serious than his previous arrests. The outcome will depend on the evidence presented and the defense’s legal strategy in the coming weeks.
