Rapper Playboi Carti is facing serious legal trouble after being charged with assault in Utah following an alleged altercation with a rideshare driver and his girlfriend. The incident reportedly took place this month when the rapper, whose real name is Jordan Terrell Carter, was being driven to a private residence in Salt Lake City.
According to court records, tensions escalated after a disagreement over the destination. The Uber driver claims Carti became verbally aggressive before physically striking him. Witnesses say the driver’s girlfriend, who was present in the vehicle, attempted to intervene and was also allegedly assaulted.
