Rapper Offset has directly addressed long-standing rumors linking him romantically to Saweetie while still married to Cardi B. The speculation, which has circulated for years, was widely believed to be a factor in the tension between Offset and his former Migos bandmate Quavo. Speaking on Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, the rapper firmly denied the allegations, calling them “a rumor” and stressing that they had no basis in truth.
Offset explained that while he has made personal mistakes in his marriage, the claims involving Saweetie are false and exaggerated. He admitted to past infidelity but insisted there was no romantic involvement between him and Saweetie. “No man, it was a rumor, man,” he said during the interview, noting that the narrative was damaging not only to his marriage but also to his friendship and professional relationships. He added that gossip often overshadows real issues, making situations appear worse than they are.
Addressing the disbanding of Migos, Offset made it clear that the alleged affair was not the root cause of the group’s split. “It was something deeper,” he explained, suggesting that business disagreements, changing priorities and growing apart as individuals played larger roles. He pointed out that years of financial and creative pressures took a toll, gradually pulling them in different directions.
The rapper reflected on how personal growth and a need for independence influenced his decision to pursue a solo path. He spoke about wanting to protect his own interests and build something new for his family. While acknowledging the end of an era, Offset expressed deep respect for the group’s legacy, crediting it with shaping his career.
Offset also addressed the public speculation that has lingered over the years, saying he is tired of false narratives defining his personal and professional story. Though he firmly denied the Saweetie rumors, he didn’t close the door on reconciling with Quavo in the future. “Time heals everything,” he said, hinting at the possibility of a reunion one day.
