One of the most recognizable families in music has lost a member.

Tina's niece Jacqueline Bullock told TMZ that Ike Turner Jr., the son of Tina Turner and Ike Turner, died on October 4 at a hospital in Los Angeles. He was sixty- seven.

Bullock told the outlet that the sound engineer had suffered from severe heart problems in recent years and that he passed away from kidney failure.

In a statement obtained by Page Six on October 5, she stated,Junior was moreMthan a cousin to me, but rather a brother, as we grew up in the same renownedMhousehold together.

Bullock continued by praising Ike Jr's musical prowess, pointing out that it was a gift from his parents.

She added,As the son of Tina and Ike Turner, his talents were evident from an early age as he didn't want to play anyinstrument." Despite his early preference for the drums, my aunt and his mother, Tina Turner, made sure he disassembled his drum kit at the end of every practice. As a result, he preferred the keys.

When Tina married Ike Sr. in 1962, she adopted Ike Jr. and his brother Michael Turner from Ike Sr's marriage to Lorraine Taylor. In a similar vein, he adopted Craig Turner, the son of the Private Dancer" singer, and the two welcomed Ronald  Turner into the world in 1962.

During his lifetime, Ike Jr. also experienced a number of setbacks, such as being arrested two weeks prior to his mother's passing in May 2023. At the time, E! News obtained a police report that charged him with both possession of crack cocaine and tampering with evidence.

Ike Jr. was predeceased by his brothers Ronnie, who died in December 2022, and Craig, who committed suicide in 2018. In December 2007, Ike Sr. passed away.
