Singer-songwriter D4vd has abruptly canceled the remaining dates of his U.S. tour as authorities continue to investigate a disturbing discovery, a dead body found in a car registered to him.

The 20-year-old artist, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was in the middle of his Withered North American tour when the investigation became public. His Wednesday night concert in Seattle was canceled earlier this week, and TMZ has confirmed that his team has now pulled the plug on his Friday show in San Francisco and Saturday performance in Los Angeles. A planned appearance at the Grammy Museum on Sept. 24 has also been quietly removed from the venue's website.

The investigation began on Sept. 8 when Los Angeles Police Department officers were called to a Hollywood tow yard to investigate a foul odor coming from a Tesla. Inside the front trunk of the car, police discovered a body sealed inside a bag. The vehicle was traced back to Burke at an address in Hempstead, Texas. Authorities later identified the remains as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, on April 5, 2024, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office.

In the days following the discovery, images surfaced online appearing to show Burke with Rivas. The New York Times confirmed the Tesla had not been reported stolen, while NBC News reported that Burke is "fully cooperating" with law enforcement. LAPD investigators have searched Burke's Los Angeles residence, reportedly collecting hair samples and looking for traces of blood.

Despite the cancellation of U.S. shows, tickets for Burke's European tour, set to kick off in Norway on Oct. 1, remain on sale, though his ability to travel internationally may be restricted as the case develops.

The fallout has been swift. Fashion brands Crocs and Hollister have suspended their collaborations with Burke, halting promotion of their joint "Dream Drop" campaign. In addition, his record label has postponed the deluxe edition of his album Withered, which had been slated for release on Sept. 19.

D4vd rose to fame with viral hits like Here With Me and Romantic Homicide, both of which have surpassed a billion streams on Spotify.

As the investigation intensifies, Burke has not publicly commented on the case. Authorities continue to treat the matter as an active homicide investigation.
