Reality TV star Porsha Williams is facing an unexpected legal headache after her lavish $7 million mansion was slapped with a lien tied to her ex-husband Simon Guobadia’s alleged $200,000 debt. The news comes just months after the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star filed for divorce from the Nigerian-American entrepreneur, ending their whirlwind marriage.
According to court documents, the lien stems from an outstanding financial obligation reportedly connected to Guobadia. While the debt is legally attributed to him, the lien was placed on Williams’ property because of the timing of their marriage and shared interests in certain assets. This means the encumbrance could potentially affect her ability to sell or refinance the home until the debt is settled.
The mansion in question, located in an exclusive Atlanta neighborhood, boasts over 10,000 square feet of luxury living space, complete with seven bedrooms, a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, a resort-style pool, and expansive outdoor entertainment areas. Williams purchased the property in 2022, during the height of her relationship with Guobadia, and frequently showcased it on social media, offering fans glimpses of its opulent interiors and high-end finishes.
Sources close to Williams insist she had no involvement in Guobadia’s alleged financial dealings and is now working closely with her legal team to have the lien removed. “This is Simon’s debt, not Porsha’s,” one insider claimed. “Unfortunately, because of how things were structured during their marriage, it’s affecting her property — but she’s confident this will be resolved quickly.”
Guobadia, who has faced previous public scrutiny over his finances, has not publicly commented on the lien or the debt. His business history has included both lucrative ventures and legal disputes, some of which have been highlighted in tabloid coverage.
