Tyra Banks is embracing her quirks and not everyone is ready. During her appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends on Thursday, July 31, the 51-year-old supermodel opened up about some very specific self-proclaimed "gross" habits. Following viral buzz around her confession earlier in the week, that she eats leftover crumbs in her bed, Banks decided to share more of what she calls her guilty pleasures.
"I'm getting a reputation for being a gross person," she admitted with a laugh, before diving into her unfiltered confessions. "I like to pick. I like the toe, and if it has some stuff in it, I don't mind digging it out," she told co-host Jenna Bush Hager. "But I have a kit. You have to have a kit. Some alcohol, you know. Some stuff!"
Bush Hager seemed stunned by the revelation and asked who exactly she does this for. "Anyone that wants it," Banks responded, listing her mom Carolyn London, her partner Louis Bélanger-Martin, her 9-year-old son York, and even her friends.
And it doesn't stop at toes. "Then a pimple? Like if you had a pimple... I would be staring at you," Banks said. When asked what would be going through her mind in such a moment, she didn't hold back: "I want it so bad. Like, I just love it."
Banks described her fascination as more than just a habit, she called it "an addiction." She elaborated, "It's disgusting and erotic at the same time. It touches those parts of me."
But there are limits. When Bush Hager asked where she draws the line, Banks quickly responded: "Nether regions. I'm not picking up in those. If somebody's like, 'Oh, can you check this?' I'm like, 'No, that's where I draw the line.'" She clarified her boundaries: "Chest up and knees down? It's on. I'm not popping and picking nothing there."
Banks also didn't shy away from describing the details that turn others' stomachs. "Sometimes they stink. The toenail, because there's been stuff in there. The jam," she said. "The toe jam is up in the nail, and then you pick, and sometimes it's different colours. Sometimes it's brown, sometimes it's green."
Her bizarre admissions came just days after telling viewers she cleans up bed crumbs, by eating them. "You just clean it up with your finger and eat it," she said.
