NFL Hall of Famer and sports media personality Shannon Sharpe has reached a resolution in the $50 million lawsuit filed against him by an OnlyFans model who accused him of rape. The legal dispute, which had garnered significant public attention, is set to be dismissed, according to attorney Tony Buzbee, who represented the accuser.

In a statement, Buzbee said, “On April 20, 2025, The Buzbee Law Firm filed a complaint in Nevada marking several allegations against Shannon Sharpe on behalf of our client. Both sides acknowledged a long – term consensual and tumultuous relationship. I’m pleased to announce that we have reached a mutually agreed upon resolution. All matters have been addressed satisfactorily, and the matter is closed. The lawsuit will thus be dismissed with prejudice.”

The lawsuit, filed earlier this year, accused Sharpe of sexual assault stemming from an alleged incident between the two. The model, whose identity was widely circulated on social media, had initially come forward with detailed claims, which Sharpe strongly denied from the onset. The former NFL tight end had maintained his innocence and expressed confidence that the truth would prevail.

Tony Buzbee, a high-profile attorney known for handling several celebrity and athlete-related cases, did not elaborate on the terms of the resolution. It remains unclear whether any financial settlement was involved, as both parties have chosen to keep the specifics confidential.
