Before docking in Fiji, Michelle "Chelley" Bissainthe's family members dispelled rumors about her and Ace Green's relationship after they finally got together on the June 17 episode of Love Island USA.
"We want to be transparent and clear the air, as some of the rumors have gotten far from the truth," Chelley's friends, who are managing her social media accounts while she is employed, posted on her Instagram Stories on June 19. "Chelley and Ace briefly crossed paths in New York and later connected on social media."
"They were never in a relationship, never lived together, and there are no children or hidden past," the message continued. "What is happening right now is genuine, unplanned, and subject to change at any time. Chelley has our undivided support no matter where her heart takes her. Fans could see their chemistry even though Ace, 22, had been with Amaya Espinal and Chelley, 27, was with Austin Shepard. When he opened her door during the recoupling in episode 14, it was therefore not shocking. (Austin then selected Amaya.)
"I really like Chelley because she's challenged me and helped me let down my walls and be vulnerable, and she's helped me be a better person here in this villa," Ace stated in his address. "She's challenged me to be creative and step outside of the box, and that's something that doesn't come often for me."
He went on, "She's gorgeous." "She brightens the space whenever she ascends those stairs, regardless of who she is with. I'm simply eager to learn more about her every day."
"I'm feeling great; I'm feeling like, about time!" exclaimed Chelley. There was a lot of processing and emotion involved. In fact, I'm quite content."
They did not conceal the fact that they had previously met, even though they are currently considering a potential romance. In fact, it was disclosed that Ace and the other person had met outside of a nightclub and had been DMing each other ever since they moved into the villa in the season seven premiere.
Despite their inability to decide whether to jump, Austin stressed that Ace and Chelley's connection was "so obvious."
They seem to be playing this strange game where they keep moving forward and passing one another without really understanding what the f--k is going on," he said on the June 9 episode. "Dude, you know what you want. It's so obvious. F--king go for it."
