Cassie Ventura has expanded her family once again. The 38-year-old singer has welcomed her third child, a baby boy, with her husband, personal trainer Alex Fine. The news was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by a source to People. Prior to the birth, Cassie had been admitted to the labor and delivery unit at a hospital in New York City.
Cassie initially shared news of her pregnancy in an Instagram post on February 19, where she posted a series of black-and-white photos with Fine and their two daughters—Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 3. In the caption, she simply wrote, “ revealing her baby bump while surrounded by her smiling children. Other images featured Fine cradling her belly and the couple posing together with their daughters, including a sweet moment where the girls kissed her growing bump.
Fine also shared one of the photos on his own Instagram, writing, “Best gift I could ask for,” and tagged the photographer. In a separate post, he used a humorous Cardi B gif that hinted Cassie was around five months pregnant at the time.
The couple, who married in 2019, now share three children.
The birth of their son comes shortly after Cassie concluded a four-day emotional testimony in Sean "Diddy" Combs’ ongoing federal criminal trial. Combs faces serious charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Ventura, a central witness for the prosecution, testified that Combs raped her in 2018 and forced her into degrading sexual encounters known as "Freak Offs" during their 11-year relationship. Her testimony, delivered while she was 8½ months pregnant, detailed patterns of abuse and manipulation. Prosecutors are relying on her account to support their claim that she was coerced—key to proving sex trafficking allegations. During cross-examination, the defense attempted to suggest that the encounters had been consensual.
Despite the emotional weight of her testimony, Cassie now turns the page with the arrival of her new baby—a personal milestone following a period of intense public scrutiny and legal proceedings.
