The co-parenting relationship between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has deteriorated dramatically after a series of concerning incidents. According to TMZ, Kim called an emergency custody hearing last week when security informed her that Andrew and Tristan Tate would be meeting her daughter North during a visit with Kanye.
The emergency meeting on March 14 addressed multiple issues, including North's appearance on Kanye's track "LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE," which features Sean "Diddy" Combs. Sources close to the situation note that Kim objects to her children associating with the Tate brothers or Diddy, who faces federal sex trafficking charges.
The Tate brothers bring their own controversy. Andrew and Tristan were arrested in 2022 for allegedly creating a criminal organization in Romania, with Andrew facing rape charges. They also face sexual assault lawsuits in both the U.S. and UK, though they haven't been convicted and maintain their innocence.
"Not shockingly, though, we're told Kim does not want North or any of their children associating with the Tates or Diddy," a source told TMZ. The meeting reportedly also addressed Kanye's public wearing of swastika t-shirts.
Tensions escalated further when Kanye released the song featuring North over the weekend, despite promising not to during the mediation. His Wednesday posts on X included accusations that Kim and her family are "sex trafficking children," referencing North's involvement in an FKA Twigs song and TikTok video.
People familiar with the situation find Kanye's accusations ironic considering his public displays with current wife Bianca Censori, whom he "parades completely naked" or in "see-through bodysuits," according to TMZ sources.
The situation has become so contentious that Kim is considering legal action. TMZ reports she may ask a judge to revoke Kanye's joint legal custody of their four children - North, Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5). Kanye has stated he wants to pursue the same action.
Kanye's behavior has extended beyond his family conflict. He recently posted offensive comments about Beyoncé and Jay-Z's twins, prompting Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles to respond to what she called "ignorance and evil," stating, "I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper."
As this family drama unfolds publicly, the children remain caught in the middle of what has become an increasingly volatile co-parenting situation since the couple's 2022 divorce.
