Jeannie Mai and her ex – husband rapper Jeezy had trouble after Mai tried to retrieve her personal belongings from Jeezy’s house but was denied access. This led to Mai calling cops according to court documents. Jeannie Mai and Jeezy got married in March 2021 in an intimate ceremony. They share one daughter together named Monaco Mai Jenkins. Jeezy filed for divorce in October 2023.

In court documents obtained by In Touch, a judge ruled Jeannie could pick up her belongings — her Emmy and other trophies, photos, handbags, and shoes placed in boxes — within 21 days from Jeezy’s home. However, the “I Put On” emcee asked the court to modify the court order because he did not feel comfortable with his ex-wife having access to be around his living space because she is allegedly “angry and revengeful.”

Jeezy had “legitimate concerns about Jeannie being able to walk through the whole house.” His lawyer added, “[Jeezy] does not feel safe having [Jeannie] in his home. Given [Jeannie’s] history of attempting to destroy [Jeezy’s] career with misleading information, [Jeezy] would have no way of knowing if [Jeannie] is planting listening devices or cameras in his home.”

Mai claims when she arrived with movers to retrieve her items, Jeezy’s house manager reportedly denied access. She also claims she was instructed to sign a nondisclosure agreement, which her lawyers argued it was not necessary. Mai went ahead to say that when she was allowed access, her belongings were scratched and the boxes surrounded by mouse traps.

“At this time, [Jeannie] called the Atlanta Police Department, who came to the property to gather a report on [Jeannie’s] denial of access. [Jeannie] as always was the consummate professional,” Jeannie’s lawyer wrote. Her lawyer also criticized Jeezy for failing to properly safeguard items of “immeasurable personal value.” This incident comes months after past disputes over daycare and rent expenses, with both parties accusing each other of failing to honor court orders.
