Prime Video is gearing up for the December 10, 2024, debut of its much-anticipated animated anthology series, Secret Level. Created by Tim Miller, known for his work on Love, Death & Robots, the 15-episode series is inspired by a wide range of popular video game franchises, promising to merge iconic game universes with cinematic storytelling. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio, each episode is set in a different gaming world, providing a mix of action, adventure, and cutting-edge animation.

The voice cast boasts an impressive array of talent, headlined by action icon Arnold Schwarzenegger, comedian Kevin Hart, and Keanu Reeves, fresh off the success of John Wick. Joining them are Gabriel Luna, known for The Last of Us and Terminator: Dark Fate, and Temuera Morrison from The Book of Boba Fett. Ariana Greenblatt, fresh from her role in Barbie, will also lend her voice, alongside notable actors like Patrick Schwarzenegger, Heaven Hart, Emily Swallow (The Mandalorian), and Claudia Doumit (The Boys).

The series will draw from classic and modern video games, including Pac-Man, Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer 40,000, Mega Man, and Sifu. One episode will showcase various beloved characters from PlayStation Studios, offering a nostalgic journey through gaming history. With Blur Studio’s expertise in animation, Secret Level promises to deliver a visually stunning experience.

Adding to the excitement, the show’s creators have teased that it will feature more video game intellectual properties than any other series before, ensuring something for both long-time gamers and newcomers alike. Episodes will be released weekly in two- episode drops, engaging audiences over several weeks. This release structure mirrors other Prime Video hits like Invincible and The Boys.

Prime Video’s Secret Level stands out not just for its high-profile cast but also for its ambitious scope. With its blend of humor, action, and imaginative storytelling, it aims to redefine animated adaptations of video game worlds. Fans across 240 countries can expect a thrilling ride through the universes of some of the most beloved games in history.
