Actress Jennifer Lawrence is expecting her second child with her husband, Cooke Maroney. A representative for Lawrence confirmed the news to Vogue after she was spotted in Los Angeles, with many noticing her baby bump during a recent outing. Lawrence shares a two-year-old son, Cy, with Maroney. The couple married in 2019 in Newport, Rhode Island, in a ceremony attended by close friends.
Lawrence has kept much of her personal life out of the public eye, and while she does not have social media accounts, she hasoccasionally opened up about her experiences as a mother. Shortly after Cy’s birth in 2022, Lawrence described the transformative experience of motherhood."The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over," she shared, adding that she felt an overwhelming love not just for her son but for all babies. "Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors."
In an earlier interview, Lawrence revealed the impact her son had on her approach to fame. Speaking about how she tries to shield him from the spotlight, she explained, “I do my best. I was so nervous when I was pregnant... I realized my energy is more important to him than anything else.” She also mentioned the anxiety of being photographed, but explained that motherhood had helped her become more relaxed in these situations: "You just have to accept it, take a deep breath, and walk."
Jennifer Lawrence's career saw a brief hiatus after her first pregnancy, but she has since returned to the spotlight with roles in films like Causeway and No Hard Feelings. Reflecting on her personal and professional life, Lawrence stated that her husband and son are central to her happiness. “My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about. I include my husband in that,” she said.
"Every day of being a mom, I feel awful," she admitted, sharing her worries about whether she’s doing enough for her child.
