American R&B singer, songwriter, actor and television personality, William Ray Norwood Jr, commonly known as Ray J opens up about the aftermath of his sex tape, featuring reality star, Kim Kardashian. Kim and Ray J. Began dating in 2003 while she was working as a stylist for his sister Brandy. In 2007, a sex tape was released and it was through the sex tape that Kim was catapulted into the spotlight.
During a recent interview with Club Shay Shay, Ray J claims that if the sex tape was not released, everything would be different. “Probably more people would be going to college and getting an education and being successful. There may not be any only fans and all the opportunities like that. Are we part of the cure or are we part of the disease? I don’t f**”ing know. All l know is that I’m just trying to make it right,” he said.
He went on to say that he is embarrassed of the whole situation, now that he is a father. “The whole thing is wacky, with my kids, it’s not Ok.” Ray J share two young children with his estranged wife, Princess Love. The two filed for divorce early this year and they filed for joint custody of their children.
In a 2022 episode of the Kardashian’s reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kanye West, Kim’s ex husband claimed to have retrieved an
unreleased cut of the tap from Ray J, something that he has denied continuously. “ All of this is a lie smh- can’t let them do this anymore – so untrue,” he commented on a clip of the episode on Instagram. Ray J also insists that the sex tape was detrimental to his career and was released to make Kim Kardashian who she is today.
